UKPets Directory, the UK's open independent on-line directory of pet services, provides web-based information as well as a community in which pet owners and the pet industry can meet and exchange information.

The UKPets Directory site hosts an ever-growing directory of pet-related organisations in the commercial and non-commercial sectors. The directory includes pet shops, grooming businesses, kennels, pet-sitters, animal charities, associations and many other related organisations and businesses. To add a business, organisation or event to UKPets Directory is completely free with the information being posted directly onto the site.

We generate 19034 monthly page-loads.

Visitors to the site will also find an up-to-the-minute front-page news service job seeker and job vacancies search pages, and an informative magazine packed with articles about our pets.

Anyone can add their comments to articles or to any of the entries in the directory.

December 2004 After losing our position, broke back into the top 100,000 Top Ranking Websites in the world reported by Internet monitor Alexa

September 2004 A huge blow when our founder Mary Ward was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.

September 2004 Added a Products Request Board for pet owners looking for Hard-to-Find Products September 2003 Broke into the top 100,000 Top Ranking Websites in the world reported by Internet monitor Alexa

August 2002 Added a free syndicated news feed enabling other web sites to display our latest news headlines.

April 2002 Added a advert placement system which for the first time, allowed businesses to raise their positions in directory searches and enhance their entries with images, mapping and additional text. This turned their listings from single line entries into full screen mini web pages.

July 2001 31 July relaunch of UKPets.

March 2001 Work began on the popular Internet based UKPets Directory to relaunch UKPets as a user-driven, fully interactive web-site.

September 2000 Melanie Mines PR joined forces with Internet based UKPets Directory to launch a range of promotional packages.

February 2000 The launch by Mary Ward, of a brand new internet site with a difference. The UKPets Directory brought together all sectors of the pet industry for the first time.
