The Apparition
Tasha remembered when she had first come here and how frightened she'd been. The first few weeks she had spent hiding under the bed in the safe comfort of the darkness. She had made herself as small as possible hoping they would leave her alone and they had for awhile. Of course she had to come out for food and when hunger got the better of her she bravely ventured out. She did this during the night when it was quiet. The food and her litter tray she found conveniently nearby.
The humans were considerate in that respect. However some of their other habits left a lot to be desired. They did tend to make an awful lot of unnecessary noise and frequently barged about busily doing things. From her hiding place under the bed she could hear the thumping of their feet. It concerned her as it disturbed her rest. Why couldn't they keep still, rest and relax like her she would wonder. It wasn't good for them all that motion. Must wear them out. They definitely had a peculiar way of going on. At times Tasha was extremely upset by their behaviour. After a while though the girl couldn't resist coming to find her. She lay down to stare at Tasha where she crouched under the bed. Tasha backed away in terror her fur standing up and her hackles raised. The human even had the cheek to poke a fluffy coloured thing on the end of a stick at her to encourage her out. This only made the small cat sneeze however.
